Lighten blending

The Lighten blending belongs to the lightening blendings. The result image will have a lighter tonality than the source images.

Implementation

The Lighten blending calculates the following simple formula for each pixel of each color channel:

if CB < CT then

CR = CT

else

CR = CB

where CR is the intensity of the color channel in the blending result within 0..1 range.

CB is the intensity of the color channel in the bottom image within 0..1 range.

CT is the intensity of the color channel in the top image within 0..1 range.

No parameter belongs to this effect.

The Lighten blending is used to create lighter scenes after blending.
